Sending [not present] the "Valse Coquette" for piano and explaining the delay--he wanted to look it over but was interrupted by rehearsals and performances of Chatterton--, also sending [not present] a song dedicated to Van Dyck, "L'invocation à la muse" from La nuit de mai by Musset, saying that he goes to Switzerland soon to work on La vie bohème, adding that Sonzogno said that the libretto was the most beautiful ever written and would be successful even without music, etc.
